Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team
  • fully on-site
  • on a short-term (3 weeks) contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut.
In this role, you will provide vital administrative and legal support, ensuring smooth operations during a contract leave period. This position requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with legal filing processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage client intake calls, distribute questionnaires, and ensure proper client setup in the system.
  • Prepare, finalize, and dispatch legal correspondence with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Undergo training the week prior to the leave to familiarize yourself with workflows and procedures.
  • Handle state and federal e-filings efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Organize and maintain calendars for court deadlines and appointments.
  • Process court filings and manage documentation related to civil litigation cases.
  • Provide front desk support, including receptionist duties and greeting clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless coverage during the leave period. Requirements
  • Prior experience in a legal assistant role is required.
  • Experience handling court filings and related legal documentation.
  • Proficiency in state and federal e-filing systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and terminology.
  • Exceptional organizational and calendar management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new systems and procedures.
