Position Overview We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support our attorneys with both administrative and substantive legal work. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable interacting with clients, and able to manage multiple priorities. This role offers significant exposure to litigation, real estate, business law, and estate planning matters, with opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility over time. Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing updates regarding their matters. Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and client appointments. Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files. Draft routine legal documents, including notices, simple motions, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other case-related documents under attorney supervision. Assist with discovery management, including organizing records, preparing exhibits, and tracking deadlines. Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, title companies, realtors, and other third parties as needed. Assist with preparation of estate planning documents and real estate closing matters. Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings through state and federal electronic filing systems. Support attorneys with administrative tasks to help maintain efficient office operations. Perform other duties as assigned to support the firm's clients and attorneys. Qualifications Prior experience working in a law firm as a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar legal support role preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Professional and compassionate client service skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) required. Familiarity with electronic court filing systems and case management software is preferred (mycase, clio, etc). Ability to work independently while also collaborating with attorneys and staff. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred; however, candidates with relevant legal experience and demonstrated qualifications are encouraged to apply.
