Job Description

Job Overview Established full-service law firm in Daytona Beach is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to join its busy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can effectively support attorneys. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional organizational standards. Prepare and electronically file documents in Florida State and Federal Courts, including discovery requests, responses, motions, and related pleadings. Provide trial and hearing support as needed. Maintain attorney calendars. Assist with time entry, pre-bills, check requests, and revisions to documents. Open, maintain, and close legal files with strong attention to document management and organization. Track deadlines through docketing and calendaring systems to ensure compliance with court requirements. Communicate with clients regarding case updates, information gathering, and scheduling.
Skills :
Experience with legal administrative functions within a law office environment. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism. Superior proofreading abilities to ensure error-free documentation. Skilled in document review processes and managing large volumes of case files efficiently. Familiarity with document management systems for seamless workflow integration. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Strong clerical experience including data entry, filing systems management, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.
