Job Description

We are a client-focused law firm dedicated to helping individuals navigate Social Security Disability and other related benefits. We are currently seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of client interactions and case management duties with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with case preparation and management for Social Security Disability claims and related matters. Communicate with clients, government agencies (SSA), and medical providers. Draft legal documents, letters, and forms. Maintain accurate case files and update internal case management systems. Gather medical records and evidence needed to support claims. Schedule appointments, hearings, and follow-ups. Provide general administrative support to attorneys and other staff. Translate documents and interpret conversations for Spanish-speaking clients as needed.
Requirements:
Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is
REQUIRED.
Previous experience in a legal setting or working with Social Security Disability claims is preferred, but not required. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn legal software. High level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive client matters.

Part-time Base Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

This position is for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30. Please confirm that you agree with this 24 hours work week.
