Maitland, FL Job Details Full-time $20•$25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Paid sick time Qualifications Microsoft Excel Interpersonal skills Spreadsheets English Attention to detail Organizational skills Typing Full Job Description Busy Maitland/Winter Park law firm seeks a full-time, in-person Bookkeeper / Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a position combining bookkeeping, administrative, and legal support responsibilities. As a small but fast-paced law firm, team members are expected to be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of assignments as needed. While bookkeeping duties will be the primary component of the role, responsibilities may occasionally extend beyond the traditional scope of a bookkeeper to support the firm's daily operations and client service needs. Candidates must feel comfortable wearing multiple hats as this is a combined role due to the nature of a small law firm environment.

Monday•
Thursday:
8:00 a.m.•6:00 p.m.
Friday:
8:00 a.m.•12:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
Starting salary range:
$41,600•$52,000 annually (based on a 40-hour work week). Monthly performance-based bonuses are available. Paid vacation and sick leave. Opportunities for salary growth based on training, performance, and achievement of work goals. No health insurance benefits are offered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, bookkeeping functions, and payroll. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Support attorneys and staff with administrative and legal support tasks. Prepare, organize, and maintain client files and documents. Assist with office operations and special projects as assigned. Perform other duties as needed to support the firm's workflow and client service objectives.
Qualifications:
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and recordkeeping. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written communication skills. Ability to rapidly shift priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Professional appearance and adherence to the firm's daily business dress code. Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM. Strong command of English grammar and professional communication. Must be willing to learn how to use other software.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of bookkeeping experience. Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Prior experience working in a law firm or professional office environment is a plus. How to
