Job Description

Senior Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal Miami, Florida Join a highly respected plaintiff-side litigation practice dedicated to representing individuals and families in complex medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death matters. This is an opportunity to become a key member of a collaborative trial team handling sophisticated, high-value cases from intake through trial. The ideal candidate is an experienced litigation paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is passionate about helping clients through some of the most challenging times of their lives. Responsibilities Manage medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases throughout all phases of litigation Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, notices, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses Organize, analyze, and summarize complex medical records and billing records Coordinate and communicate with clients, experts, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation Prepare chronologies, damage summaries, and case management reports Coordinate expert witness retention, scheduling, and document production Manage litigation deadlines, court filings, and case calendars Conduct investigative and factual research related to case development Prepare trial exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files Qualifications Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury or medical malpractice matters Strong knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures Experience drafting discovery and litigation pleadings Excellent organizational and case management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, electronic filing systems, and case management software Preferred Significant medical malpractice litigation experience Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) designation Certified Paralegal (CP) credential Trial preparation experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Long-term growth potential within an established trial practice Collaborative and team-oriented work environment The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working on complex medical negligence matters and takes pride in helping attorneys achieve exceptional results for clients. $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
