In this vital role, you will support litigation and legal research efforts by managing document review, organizing case files, and assisting with discovery processes across various practice areas. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help ensure efficient case management and contribute to the successful resolution of complex legal matters. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while supporting a collaborative and fast-paced law office environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, to support case strategies across diverse practice areas including litigation, family law, estate planning, environmental law, and more. Manage document review processes, including sorting, coding, and analyzing discovery materials to identify relevant information for ongoing cases. Assist with legal case management by organizing files, maintaining electronic databases, and ensuring all documentation complies with firm standards. Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Support attorneys with trial preparation by compiling exhibits, preparing deposition summaries, and managing deadlines. Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining document management systems like PCLaw and iManage. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as needed for case development while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Coordinate with team members to facilitate project management tasks across multiple cases simultaneously. Ensure all discovery-related activities adhere to legal standards and deadlines while providing exceptional clerical support. Experience Prior paralegal experience in a law office setting is required; familiarity with litigation discovery processes is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential for effective case support. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently using document management systems. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of proofreading and editing complex legal documents accurately. Strong communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses and collaborating within a team environment. Proficiency in legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, and document review is required. Knowledge of project management principles within a legal context will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
