We are located in Sarasota, FL and are committed to staying in sync with the city's growing economy and our clients' expectations. Role Description This is a full-time role for a Legal Assistant located in Sarasota, FL.
Key Responsibilities Prepare documents:
types, transcribes, revises, and proofreads legal documents accurately, prioritizes assignments, and meets specific deadlines on projects. Assist attorneys with document preparation. Ability to proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Provides general administrative support:
Maintains attorney contacts, tracks requirements and activity related to CLE and memberships. Assist in coordinating attorney calendars and meeting arrangements. Schedule client appointments in coordination with attorney. Coordinate client billing matters, prepares billing letters and other client updates. Case opening and records management for electronic and paper files. Answering, screening, directing, and placing telephone calls and emails. Regular interaction with clients, court personnel, other client advisors, and attorneys other than their employers. Consistently deliver outstanding client service and quality. Other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications Law firm administrative experience a plus. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through required. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word. Possess excellent organizational skills to manage voluminous files.
