The firm represents individuals and families diagnosed with mesothelioma and asbestos-related cancers — meaningful, impactful work that requires a team with both legal expertise and genuine compassion for clients. We're looking for a paralegal with strong plaintiff-side asbestos or toxic tort experience. Candidates from related fields like product liability, mass tort, or medically complex personal injury are also welcome to apply. This is not a fit for defense-side asbestos practitioners.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist attorneys with every stage of asbestos/mesothelioma litigation, from initial case intake through deposition, mediation, and trial Obtain, review, and organize medical records, exposure histories, employment records, and other case-critical documents Draft discovery pleadings, subpoenas, and responses; compile exhibits for depositions and trial Coordinate with expert witnesses — scheduling, preparation, and communication throughout the litigation process Handle court filings across Florida state courts and federal venues, maintaining accurate deadline and docket tracking Act as a direct point of contact for clients, providing updates with care and professionalism
What You Bring:
Minimum 2 years of plaintiff-side asbestos/mesothelioma paralegal experience; related toxic tort or mass tort experience considered Proven track record supporting complex litigation through discovery, depositions, and trial prep Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize across a high-volume, deadline-intensive caseload Empathy and professionalism in client-facing situations involving serious medical diagnoses Experience with e-filing, case management software, and document management platforms
