Should have experience with Bodily Injury Defense and/or Medical Malpractice litigation. Will also consider those with Plaintiff's Personal Injury experience (as long as you handled litigation, not pre-lit). This is an
IN OFFICE
position (it is not hybrid remote). •This position requires that you have
AT LEAST
two (2) years experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in
FL. YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH BILLABLE HOURS
& scheduling depositions.•Salary is $60,000 to $68,000 per year We handle the defense of car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability and other catastrophic injuries in Florida. We also defend a variety of medical malpractice cases.
DUTIES :
Opening case files, client intake, issuing subpoenas for medical record/bills, ordering records, drafting pleadings and motions, sending out discovery, deposition scheduling, e-filing, client phone calls, and assisting with paperwork in case settlement process. Should have some experience with handling high volume litigation files at a time. Lots of scheduling and calendaring for multiple attorneys. We prefer candidates who have done billable hours.
