Job Description
Albany-based firm has an immediate opening for a Paralegal. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to multi-task efficiently with minimal supervision. Role Description Manage workers' compensation and tort litigation case files. Communicate with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel via telephone, email, and written correspondence. Prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents. Draft and submit Workers' Compensation Board forms through the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation Integrated Claims Management System (ICMS). Assist with tort litigation matters, including personal injury and insurance defense cases. Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, medical appointments, and court appearances. Request, review, and organize medical records and other case-related documents. Maintain attorney calendars and litigation deadlines. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and file management. Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 1+ years of Paralegal experience required; workers' compensation and tort litigation experience preferred. High school diploma required; some college coursework and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word. Experience with Clio or other legal case management software preferred. Familiarity with Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation ICMS system preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Ability to produce accurate, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Salary based on experience
