Job description: David Kennedy & Associates is an immigration law firm in Gainesville, GA. David Kennedy and his staff have been helping people with immigration-related and other legal matters for over two decades. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various immigration matters, ensuring that all documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong administrative skills, legal research capabilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional support in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications with the appropriate government agencies. Conduct legal research related to immigration law and stay updated on changes in regulations. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate. Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, motions, and correspondence. Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and provide necessary support during litigation. Maintain communication with clients regarding case status and required documentation. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar administrative role within a law firm. Proficient in legal research techniques and tools. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Strong proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Education:
High school or equivalent (minimum) Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred)
Salary:
$42,000-$68,000 Per Year Salary range is entirely dependent on experience and skills . We are open to negotiating the salary beyond our posted maximum for people with exceptional skills and experience.
