Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and energetic Junior Paralegal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Operating under the supervision of the VP of Legal Operations/Compliance Officer, this role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative, clerical, and regulatory support within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their expertise while making a meaningful impact. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will balance core legal compliance with daily office operations, contributing to a seamless workflow. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in designing and maintaining databases to support contract management, regulatory licensure, corporate information, recordkeeping, and tracking developing legal issues. Assist with administrative aspects and filings related to licensure and certification; collaborate with Legal and administrative personnel to complete hard copy and electronic filings. Prepare documentation and reports related to business licensure and regulatory reporting; assist with accurate note-taking in high-level meetings. Other tasks as assigned by Legal Department personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate required; Bachelor's degree or 2 years equivalent work experience required. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar administrative role, ideally in a legal setting or the healthcare industry. General knowledge of health care laws (HIPAA and Medicare knowledge is a major plus). Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace. Outstanding organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple/competing deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor. Strong problem-solving abilities; capacity to analyze files, determine required information, draft documents/forms with minimal supervision, and take proactive action. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise good judgment.
