Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support litigation matters and help keep legal operations organized in Macon, Georgia. This position is ideal for someone who can manage deadlines, prepare court-related documents, and coordinate daily administrative activities in a fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate filings, obtaining medical records, tracking schedules, and assisting attorneys with case support.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit legal documents through electronic filing systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Maintain attorney calendars by tracking hearings, filing deadlines, meetings, and other time-sensitive case events.
- Support litigation matters by organizing case materials, updating files, and assisting with document preparation.
- Coordinate court filings and related documentation to help matters move forward without delays.
- Monitor case activity and follow up on deadlines, responses, and required submissions.
- Communicate with courts, clients, and internal team members regarding scheduling, filing status, and case documentation.
- Keep legal records and correspondence organized so attorneys can quickly access critical information. Requirements
- Experience supporting legal teams in an assistant or similar administrative role.
- Working knowledge of electronic filing procedures and court submission processes.
- Familiarity with litigation documents, timelines, and case coordination.
- Strong calendar management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when preparing and reviewing legal paperwork.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in a detail-focused setting.
