Job Description:
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Process files in case management and client systems
  • Draft filing for proof of claim, reaffirmation agreements and motions of relief for attorney review
  • Request files from clients and other departments as needed
  • PACER and e-filing experience is required
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Professionally communicate with clients and co-workers
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Any other clerical tasks as needed
  • Excellent professional communication skills as position requires written and verbal interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors.
Experience:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in lender bankruptcy processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Experience and understanding of the various client systems such as a360 Case Aware, Black Knight, and Tempo is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook and Teams
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience with SCRA and other electronic databases a plus Responsibilities The Bankruptcy Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to the Bankruptcy Department and Attorneys by processing bankruptcy case files including: drafting of legal documents such as proof of claims, motions for relief from stay, objections, and claim maintenance filings Process files in case management and client systems Draft filing for proof of claim, reaffirmation agreements and motions of relief for attorney review Request files from clients and other departments as needed Professionally communicate with clients and co-workers Work both independently and as part of a team Provide exceptional internal and external customer service Any other clerical tasks as needed All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
