Duties & Responsibilities:
Support several attorneys Support attorneys by formatting, proofreading, revising, and finalizing various legal documents mainly in the areas of corporate, estate planning, real estate, trust, and possibly other areas of law, as well as perform efficiently under pressure Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, clients, courts, and government agencies, and ensure confidentiality at all times Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize documents to be recorded and filed with the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA), Bureau of Conveyance (BOC), Real Property, and Tax offices Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling and monitoring of appointments, meetings, and all pertinent deadlines, as well as organize and maintain case files Review and process attorney timesheets, billings, and expenses, to ensure timely and accurate completion General administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, scanning, copying, sorting, and shredding Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications required include: Minimum 2 years of experience in the legal field with advanced knowledge of transactional, business, corporate, real estate, tax, and estate planning areas of law Proficient in Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary Knowledgeable and experienced with rules and procedures for the Land Court, BOC, DCCA, Real Property, tax offices, and Land Court Exceptional documentation, data entry, and proofreading skills with strength in accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness Proficiency in task-switching, prioritization, and organizational skills Ability to adhere to established protocols and procedures, receive constructive feedback and direction, and comply with established directives Excellent verbal communication skills, including professional and polite phone etiquette Punctuality with a strong attendance record Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of Prolaw Working knowledge of Kofax Power PDF Advanced Notary Public credentials or willing to obtain notary public credentials Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute (wpm) Additional legal experience and/or knowledge in applicable practice areas of our firm, including, but not limited to litigation or immigration Bilingual - Japanese speaking is a plus but not required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position adhering to a Monday through Friday work schedule. All work will be performed in a secure, climate-controlled office setting. Additional hours may be requested depending on attorney and/or firm needs. What do we offer?
