Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to support our team of attorneys with day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and effective support to our legal team.Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily administrative tasks like scanning, mailing, organizing files electronically using Practice Master Routinely monitor court dockets for updates and notify attorneys of key changes E-file legal documents in state, federal, and appellate courts as needed Familiarity with Odyssey filling system a plus Schedule and coordinate depositions, court hearings, and meetings Prepare and organize court filings, including drafting basic notices and formatting legal documents Prepare and maintain trial and hearing binders Send courtesy copies and proposed orders to judges and opposing counsel Communicate professionally on behalf of attorneys, including drafting and sending emails and letters Answer incoming calls, relay messages, and respond to routine inquiries Monitor and prioritize emails and assist with managing attorney calendars Order case files and records from various circuit clerk offices Ensure all administrative support needs are met promptly and accurately Perform general office duties and support tasks as assigned Qualifications (required): Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Comfortable handling confidential information Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Positive attitude, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach Qualifications (preferred): Previous experience in a legal administrative setting preferredPay:
