Job SummaryEquinix seeks a Paralegal (or Practice Assistant) to support its portfolio of litigation, external investigation, and dispute resolution matters at a pivotal point in the company's growth and visibility. The role will support cases across commercial, employment, real estate, government enforcement, injury, intellectual property, and other subject areas for a global litigation team. This position also will assist with third-party subpoenas and participate in cross-functional case management and other initiatives, including to support adjacent Employment and Risk Management teams.
Candidates ideally will be based in Toronto, Dallas, Denver, or Tampa, although we may be able to consider placements in other U.S. cities where we have office locations. Equinix follows a hybrid work policy requiring in-office attendance a minimum of two days per week.
ResponsibilitiesHands-on support for case management, in partnership with internal managing attorneysPerforming internal case analysis, coordinating witness interviews, reviewing filings, preparing correspondence, and supporting discovery in assigned matters, including by handling legal holds and document collection and production effortsShaping and managing internal processes for case tracking and file management, including with respect to law enforcement requests, third-party subpoenas, service of process, and other intake platformsManaging settlement payment processing, to include preparation of internal forms and alignment with budget-holders and finance personnelAssisting with global case reporting and internal web page and database managementSupporting internal cost management and RFP initiativesCommunicating efficiently and effectively with stakeholders in the legal department and throughout the companyNavigating competing workflows, setting appropriate priorities with internal clients and outside counsel, and delivering results within agreed timelinesQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm, government, or in-house setting, with demonstrated project management capabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Familiarity with SFDC and legal contract management software is a plusStrong communication and organizational skillsExperience with large-scale eDiscoveryDemonstrated ability to manage a complex, fast-paced workload and prioritize projects to meet deadlinesWillingness to develop new areas of expertise and pitch in on a wide variety of projects to support a lean, collegial legal teamNotary Public certification is a plus The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
