Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic legal team as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, where your expertise will drive efficiency and excellence across a diverse range of legal practice areas. In this role, you will provide vital support to attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will help us deliver top-tier legal services while fostering a collaborative and energetic work environment. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining legal files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and litigation. Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Perform document review and data entry tasks to support case preparation and ensure accuracy in all records. Support attorneys with client interviews by preparing questionnaires and summarizing interview notes to facilitate case development. Manage calendar deadlines for filings and court appearances while coordinating meetings and appointments efficiently. Provide executive administrative support including phone etiquette, scheduling, filing, transcription, and general clerical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. Requirements Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience demonstrating familiarity with law office procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases across different practice areas simultaneously. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage and Document Management Systems is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities are essential. Knowledge of various legal fields including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and litigation practices. Experience with project management tools like PCLaw or similar software is preferred. Strong interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to perform thorough legal research and document review while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
