Job Description

Job Overview Seeking a Receptionist/Legal Assistant with the combined role of front-desk responsibilities and legal support as needed. Ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized individual with an understanding of legal administrative processes across various practice areas. Duties Greet clients, visitors, and vendors with professionalism, managing all front-desk interactions efficiently Answer and direct incoming phone calls and taking detailed messages Manage legal case files, court filings, and document review Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, memorandums, transcripts, etc. with precision through legal drafting and proofreading Transcribe dictations and maintain accurate records of client interactions and case updates Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, maintaining office supplies, etc. Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Proven clerical or administrative experience within a law office or legal environment Some knowledge of various practice areas including business law, administrative law, criminal law, family law, workers' compensation law, landlord-tenant law, and probate/estate law preferred Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and document review processes Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail Outstanding communication skills with professional phone etiquette and client interaction capabilities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively for smooth office operations

From $16.00 per hour
