Job Description

A small law firm in Houma is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months. Legal office experience is preferred, but not required. The right candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent computer skills, and the ability to work accurately in a professional office environment.
Responsibilities:
Type, draft, edit, and format documents using Microsoft Word Prepare and send professional emails Create, organize, and maintain binders and physical documents Assist with general administrative and clerical support Review documents for accuracy, formatting, and completeness Support attorneys and staff with day-to-day office needs
Qualifications:
Solid administrative experience required Legal office experience preferred, but not required Strong Microsoft Word skills Comfortable creating, editing, and formatting documents Professional written communication skills Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Able to work onsite in a small office environment
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 30-minute lunch break
Compensation:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who is comfortable with document-heavy work and looking for a temporary assignment in a professional law office setting. #IND2
