You will create legal documents, organize case files, and prepare other important materials. You will organize, review, and occasionally summarize medical records and be experienced with communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and other service providers, in a professional manner. Experience in legal services:
Must have 2 - 3 years as a legal assistant or paralegal.
Compensation :
$18 / hr. - $19/hr D.O.E. (opportunity for quarterly bonus)
Responsibilities :
Talk with service providers or insurers about possible settlements for liens, bills, and medical expenses. Assist lawyers with litigation matters, as needed. Communicating with clients regularly. Maintain our case filing systems and other administrative activities. Create legal communications and documents. Demonstrated past success in the following competencies : Provided support to attorneys and staff. Worked well as a team player. Followed directives and has analytical and reasoning skills. Contacted clients, insurance companies, and medical providers as needed. Maintained confidential information accessed through daily work activities. Understanding of legal principles, language, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters. Organized with the skills to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in preparing settlement demands. Professional and proficient in verbal and written communication skills, with great attention to detail and organization. Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Comfortable learning new software systems. Strong ability to handle changes and to pivot well with changes.
Qualifications:
Professional and team player minded. Great verbal communicator and writer. Must have experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in a personal injury law firm. Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certification program, such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies. Bachelor's degree desired but not required. Excellent organizational skills and time management skills. Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) is highly preferred.

able to problem solve, follow directions, while confident enough to ask questions for clarity. Experienced in identifying initial prescriptive period for filing suits.
