GILMARTIN MAGENCE LLP
a Real Estate Law Firm with offices in both Newton and Boston has an opening for a full-time Post Closing Paralegal/Legal Assistant in their Newton Office. This position primarily assists paralegals and attorneys with post-closing file preparation including scanning, shipping, recording and disbursing of documents and funds and assisting partners with usual and customary pre-closing tasks on buyer and seller transactions. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drafting documents (i.e.: deeds and powers of attorney) Organizing files and collecting required information from various parties relative to buyer and seller files Tracking Funding on Files Preparing files for recording at Registries Processing Electronic Recording of documents Assisting with the completion of Title Policies Disbursing Files after Closings Processing Fed-Ex as needed Managing and Handling of Post Closing Requests Processing 1099's Assisting as needed with opening of new files and data entry File Management including scanning, copying, organizing file for shredding and file retrieval Candidate should have experience with the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Adobe and real estate closing software. Candidates should also have exceptional organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects at once. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy office with a collegial and respectful environment.
Pay:
Up to $50,000.00 per year
