An established legal practice is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join its Community Associations team. This position is ideal for a professional with strong collections experience who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is committed to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of collections experience, preferably within a law firm or Community Associations practice.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience overseeing collection matters through all stages of the process, from account referral to resolution.
- Working knowledge of Maryland collections procedures and debt collection laws, including liens, judgments, and garnishments.
- Proficiency with case management systems and maintaining accurate account records.
- Ability to calculate balances, accrued interest, late fees, and legal fees accurately.
- Experience preparing legal documents, pleadings, and professional correspondence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and client service skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and work independently while collaborating effectively with legal professionals.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
