Job Description
Mierendorf Law Offices, P.C., is a fast-paced small town law firm, dedicated to providing the highest quality of services to our clients, the courts, and our employees. We are seeking an individual who wants to experience the future of our law firm with us, who is self-motivated, highly organized, ethical, detailed-oriented, and prefers the country rustic wanderlusts of a small town. This person will be able to provide attention to detail along with a strong commitment to professional development as a legal assistant or paralegal (dependent on qualifications) to support the law firm in family, probate, civil, and/or criminal law matters.
Job Description:
Drafting pleadings/briefs, dictation, electronic filing, spreadsheets, and documents. Overflow of legal assistant work including preparing, proofreading, and editing of documents. Support with answering phones/scheduling appointments. File opening/closing and management. Projects as assigned by Office Manager and/or Attorney. Interaction with clients, opposing counsel, and Courts and requiring professional demeanor. Always maintaining confidential information in a professional and trustworthy manner. Excellent organization skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Case Management software) Must have intermediate to advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude, and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance. Must be able to work in a team environment, and maintain positive and productive relationships with co-workers.Job Type:
