Location:
Fenton, Michigan Schedule:
Typical schedule of 36 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for up to 40 hours based on workload.
Compensation:
$28-$32 per hour, depending on experience Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Probate & Trust Administration Paralegal to join our growing estate planning and probate law practice. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with probate and trust administration matters and be comfortable assisting with the day-to-day management of estates and trusts throughout the administration process. This position offers meaningful work, direct attorney access, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to work closely with clients and families during important life transitions. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in probate administration and trust administration. Strong understanding of probate court procedures and estate settlement processes. Experience preparing probate court filings and related administration documents. Experience communicating with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other third parties. Familiarity with estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and deeds. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software. Responsibilities Assist with probate and trust administration matters from opening through closing. Prepare and file probate court pleadings, inventories, accounts, receipts, and related documents. Coordinate asset collection, date-of-death valuations, transfers, and distributions. Communicate with personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, accountants, and courts. Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely completion of administration tasks. Maintain case files, calendars, and client records. Assist attorney with all aspects of probate and trust administration matters. Provide occasional support on estate planning matters as needed. Compensation & Benefits $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience. Typical schedule of 36 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for up to 40 hours based on workload.
