Position:
We are seeking a highly experienced Probate & Trust Administration Paralegal to support a busy and growing practice managing a substantial caseload of estates and trusts. This role is best suited for a self-directed professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage files from initiation through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare probate pleadings, deeds, and trust administration documents with minimal supervision Independently manage and track a high-volume caseload of estates and trusts Prepare and analyze asset inventories, accountings, fiduciary reports, and petitions Ensure strict compliance with probate court procedures. deadlines. and filing requirements Conduct legal research related to probate, trust administration, and related litigation Communicate directly with clients, court personnel, and financial institutions Maintain highly organized files and produce clear, professional correspondence Support litigation matters related to probate and trust disputes as needed
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of probate and/or trust administration paralegal experience Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently Strong working knowledge of probate court procedures, filings, and timelines Excellent drafting, proofreading. and organizational skills Ability to prioritize, shift between tasks, and meet strict deadlines without oversight Professional communication skills and sound judgment in client interactions
Preferred Qualifications:
Integrity is an integral part of this position and is highly regarded Paralegal certification or degree in legal studies appreciated but not necessary Experience with probate litigation Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Work Environment:
On-site role in Mount Clemens, Ml (not remote) Limited local travel for court appearances or client meetings Professional standards for appearance, communication, and conduct are expected
