JOB SUMMARY
Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the Corporate & Real Estate practice group. Duties include preparing corporate legal documents and filings, maintaining digital minute books and legal files, drafting correspondence, assembling closing and transaction binders electronically, and performing other related tasks as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Open, organize, and maintain digital legal files in accordance with firm policies and legal best practices. Support client matter management and billing processes. Draft and proofread a variety of correspondence and legal documents. Assemble and prepare electronic closing binders and transaction binders. Schedule and manage attorney calendars, including meetings, teleconferences, and travel. Record and process attorney reimbursable expenses. Maintain strict confidentiality of attorney-client information. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong proofreading and editing ability. Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment appropriate to the role. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels, clients, and external advisors. Quick learner, adaptable to new systems and procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain high production standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years of relevant legal support or secretarial experience; OR completion of a legal assistant program plus at least three years of legal work experience.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
