Job Description

Lewis Rice LLC, a large St. Louis law firm, has an opening for a Corporate Paralegal. This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred. The hours of this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans, 401(k) plan, and paid parking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting attorneys with the preparation of corporate documents and materials
  • Working directly with attorneys and clients in connection with corporate transactions and closings
  • Conducting corporate entity and ownership research
  • Supporting a variety of corporate transactions and matters
  • Preparing and conducting UCC filings and searches
  • Navigating Secretary of State offices and other governmental agency procedures
  • Assisting with other special projects and administrative tasks as needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • This position requires an undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
  • Knowledge of corporate legal principles
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and third parties
  • Ability to utilize technology resources to support clients and attorneys
  • Experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Outlook required
