Full-time, on-site — Springfield, MO About the firm Morrissey Law Firm is a small plaintiff-side personal injury and wrongful death practice in Springfield, Missouri. Our trial work is built on the Keenan Edge methodology, and the managing attorney serves on the faculty of the Keenan Trial Institute. We carry a focused caseload of serious matters, run on Neos and Microsoft 365, and care about doing the work well — with the documentation discipline and systems that let a small firm punch above its weight. Position summary This is an entry-to-early-career seat with a defined growth path. You will start with case support and intake paperwork and, over roughly 18 to 24 months, grow into broader paralegal responsibilities and serve as backup to the senior litigation paralegal. It is the right role for someone organized, dependable, and eager to build a career in plaintiff-side litigation under direct mentorship. Key responsibilities Case support across active matters: medical-records and billing requests, exhibit preparation, file organization, and document handling. Intake paperwork and new-client setup. Learn and apply the firm's demand, pre-lit, settlement, and redaction / CRIFS checklists. Maintain accurate, timely case data in Neos. Over 18-24 months, grow into broader paralegal work and become a backup to the senior litigation paralegal. Required qualifications Strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail, with a genuine willingness to learn. Comfort with technology, including Microsoft 365 and case-management software. Professional written and verbal communication. Preferred qualifications Prior law-firm, legal, or administrative experience. A clear interest in a paralegal career and in plaintiff-side personal injury / wrongful death work. Coursework or a certificate in paralegal studies. Growth path This role is built to grow. With mentorship from the senior litigation paralegal and the managing attorney, you will take on increasing litigation responsibility on a deliberate 18-24 month track toward a full paralegal role and senior-paralegal backup. Pay:

$23.50 - $27.00 per hour
