Job Description

Director of Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies The Department of History and Political Science at Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position to direct the Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies programs beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. The successful applicant will have either a JD, a Ph.D. or be an ABD candidate near completion. The successful applicant will direct our Paralegal Studies program and the Pre-Law minor. Ability to teach Introduction to Law and other law-focused classes is necessary. Candidates with the credentials to teach either History or Political Science classes preferred. The director will also oversee internships for students, carry a full-time teaching load, advise students, facilitate curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level, and serve on department and university committees. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Inquiries should be directed to the Office of Human Resources.
