You will support multiple attorneys across a range of practice areas, helping ensure efficient case management and smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and energized by the variety that comes with working in a collegial office of diverse professionals. Our firm actively uses AI-powered tools to support legal research, document drafting, and workflow efficiency. We are looking for someone who is comfortable learning and working alongside these tools as part of their daily responsibilities. Responsibilities Case and Litigation Support Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony Conduct investigations and statistical, documentary, and legal research Locate, develop, and organize case-relevant information Obtain, index, and analyze medical records and bills Prepare and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence Coordinate depositions, mediations, and court hearings Assist with trial preparation and attend trials as needed Office and Administrative Support Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys Handle communication with prospective clients, current clients, and witnesses Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and discretion Monitor deadlines and manage attorney calendars Organize and schedule meetings and appointments Serve as point person for office maintenance, supplies, and equipment Handle and protect confidential and sensitive information Technology and AI Tools Use AI-assisted platforms for legal research, document review, and drafting under attorney supervision Help maintain organized digital files and assist with technology-related office needs Stay open to learning new software tools as the firm's technology evolves Requirements Willingness to learn legal procedures, court rules, and firm protocols Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, timekeeping, and billing software Comfort working with AI tools and a willingness to learn new technologies (no prior AI experience required) Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability Superior organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Benefits and Schedule 401(k) retirement plan Monday through Friday, standard 8-hour workday In-person position at our Asheville office
