Job Description

Allen Stahl + Kilbourne is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal to support our busy litigation practice in our Asheville office. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional legal services with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to our clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal Studies Certificate required Minimum 3+ years paralegal experience preferred (North Carolina experience a plus) Knowledge of NC Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal case management software and time keeping preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well independently but enjoys being part of a team Responsibilities Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence Manage case files from inception to resolution, including document organization and indexing Coordinate and maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings (state and federal) Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing, mediation and trial preparation Prepare and proofread legal correspondence and other written materials. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed by attorney(s). Schedule appointments, depositions, mediations, and court appearances for attorney(s). Track billable/non-billable time to client file. Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the legal team.
