Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various areas of law, including family law, civil law, criminal law and more. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent writing abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal support. The Paralegal Assistant will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting with document preparation. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with legal research and case management across various practice areas including family law, civil law, criminal law . Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases. Manage case files using document management systems like Clio Management. Perform document review and proofreading to ensure clarity and correctness. Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents. Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings and managing calendars. Utilize legal research tools to support case preparation. Assist in project management tasks related to ongoing litigation or client matters. Communicate effectively with clients via phone etiquette while maintaining confidentiality. Download Discovery from DA office. Maintain files and folders for Attorneys to take to court. Skills Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a law office setting. Familiarity with all areas of law. Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met. Proficient in data entry and clerical tasks including filing and document management. Ability to conduct thorough legal research. Experience with transcription tasks as needed for case documentation. Strong attention to detail for proofreading documents before submission or filing.
