A minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal in a patent law firm is required to be considered for this role.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Docket and create templates for USPTO incoming correspondence
  • Generate application forms and file applications and response documents with USPTO
  • Create assignment documents for recordation with USPTO
  • Docket trademark and foreign patent communications
  • Maintain IP portfolio status spreadsheet for each client
  • Create and send invoices
Skills/Qualifications:
  • College degree
REQUIRED
  • 2 years patent law firm work experience
REQUIRED
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Understanding of the US patent process
  • Experience with other types of IP (trademarks, copyrights, etc.) preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with numbers and dates
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • QuickBooks experience helpful
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities This position is full-time.
