Legal Assistant

Must have excellent customer service skills that include being able to speak well on the phone. Must be a fast learner, very organized, independent and able to multi-task. Must be advanced in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook and work well with computers and technology and be fast! Law office experience is required. You will support the attorney with duties and responsibilities that include:
  • Scheduling and managing appointments
  • Checking in and Greeting Clients
  • Opening files
  • Copying documents
  • scanning documents for electronic file
  • straightening up office and waiting area,
  • Answering Phones
  • Typing Letters
  • Running errands as needed by Attorney
  • Must be able to multi-task and to handle tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Obtains pertinent case information and data from the clients
  • Organizing & filing at the office; Filing documents at the Courthouse
  • Draft simple documents
  • Draft & send out correspondence/letters.
This position requires extensive interaction with clients. You are required to have a high standard of ethics and maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills and phone etiquette is required. (excellent pay to the right candidate or room to excel and advance to a candidate who has some but, not all qualifications)
Qualifications:
2+ years of Law Office experience REQUIRED or must be a Certified Paralegal. Notary Public
REQUIRED
Knowledgeable and experienced with Computers, Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Must know how to do basic formulas in Microsoft Excel.
