Summary:
Under the direction of licensed attorneys, the Paralegal provides a wide variety of paralegal functions, which may include drafting legal documents and contracts concerning business transactions and acquisitions ; performing basic case management skills ; and acting as a front-end interface with teammates within UNC Health Pardee .Responsibilities:
Assist General Counsel with coordination of contract review process Timely prepare , review and proofread a high volume and diverse range of agreements, with a focus on physician employment agreements, real estate leases and vendor contracts Revise contract language in partnership with General Counsel Assist General Counsel in creation, use and updating of template and form documents Organiz e and rout e high volume of agreements for timely execution Proactively engage in and lead contracting process improvement initiatives and implements smooth, speedy and efficient work flows Organize and maintain corporate files, such as organizational documents, minutes and resolutions Assist in documentation production, redaction of documents and preparation of document notebooks and exhibits Assist General Counsel with file maintenance, case management plans, calendaring, invoice and check processing, and routine communications with internal clients Under attorney direction, draft correspondence, pleadings, and legal instruments Perform research and assist with projects as assigned by attorney . Performing general administrative duties, such as filing, organizing, and routing contracts for execution File documents with courts and administrative tribunals. Be familiar with sources of federal and North Carolina law, including t he North Carolina General Statutes, State rules and regulations, and federal statutes and regulations.Other information:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's degree or two years of college in an appropriate discipline . Three (3) years of relevant experience Preferred Experience in a healthcare setting or with health care-related law or policy Experience with Contract Management Software , West l aw , and Le xis Nexis Bachelor's degree or higher in an appropriate discipline Certifi ed as a National (NALA) orNorth Carolina State Paralegal Job Details Legal Employer:
