We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington, NC office . Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of litigation case management experience specific to personal injury. No phone calls or recruiter inquiries. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items Monitor & manage client's medical treatment Send requests for information including medical records & billing Organize and maintain electronic client files Prepare and electronically file general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges Ability to complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a personal injury law firm or equivalent required Paralegal certificate a plus Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Intermediate to advanced computer skills required Ability to effectively and professionally communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues Must be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm
