  • Our firm is growing! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of all aspects of family law. This role is essential in supporting attorneys by conducting thorough research, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Responsibilities

Drafting legal documents 2. Research 3. Meeting with clients 4. Answering the telephone 5. Case management 6. Organizing files 7. Trial Preparation 8. Preparing and filing pleadings and other documents with the court 9. Mailing documents 10. Monitoring office email accounts 11. Drafting correspondence 12. Corresponding with clients, other law offices, and third parties via telephone, written correspondence, and email 13. Manage office calendar 14. Assist with billing and fee collection 15. Interview witnesses 16. Schedule consultations, client meetings, and mediations 17. Scanning exhibits, documents, and other items into client files 18. Updating client management database 19. Opening and closing files 20. Mailing documents 21. Any other task or duty determined to be appropriate for your position
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing evidence and drafting necessary documents.
  • Review and summarize legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Manage case files using Clio.
  • Coordinate communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting cases.
  • Support the preparation of filings for court submissions and other legal processes.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Experience
  • A degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity Family Law is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in document review processes and legal research methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team.
