Role Overview The firm is seeking a motivated Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to support a dedicated attorney in the Nashua office. This is a hands-on, case-focused role — not a general administrative position. You will gain meaningful experience in workers' compensation matters, supporting cases from intake through resolution while working closely with a single attorney. The firm is open to candidates from both legal assistant and insurance/medical claims backgrounds and provides training for the right individual. Key Responsibilities Manage workers' compensation case files from intake through resolution, ensuring accurate and organized documentation Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers Handle high-volume phone and email communications in a professional manner Gather, organize, and prepare medical records and evidence packages for hearings and depositions Draft routine legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and motions under attorney supervision Provide one-on-one litigation support including calendaring, deadline tracking, and case management Coordinate with opposing counsel, courts, and administrative agencies as needed Maintain accurate case data and updates in Filevine throughout the case lifecycle QualificationsRequired 1-3 years of experience as a legal assistant OR background in insurance/medical claims adjusting Strong communication skills with the ability to manage high-volume professional interactions Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Stable work history preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available) Must work on-site in Nashua, NH (5 days/week) Preferred Workers' compensation or personal injury experience Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management systems Paralegal certificate or coursework Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $54,000•$60,000 annually ($26•29/hour), DOE Year-end discretionary bonus Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Three weeks paid vacation Long-term internal growth opportunities Why This Role ★ Hands-On Legal Experience Direct attorney support with real case involvement from day one ★ Training Provided No workers' comp experience required — strong legal or claims background welcomed ★ Established Firm with Growth 40+ year regional firm with 9 offices and steady expansion ★ Strong Culture & Retention Team-oriented environment with internal promotion, community involvement, and long-term stability
