Job Description
The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to our in-house legal team, assisting two attorneys across real estate transactions, corporate governance, contracts, litigation support, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being highly organized, proactive, and deeply involved in the day-to-day legal operations of a growing real estate organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation, review, and organization of legal documents including: Purchase and sale agreements Leases and amendments Loan documents and closing binders Entity formation and governance documents Coordinate real estate closings, including tracking deadlines, conditions, and required deliverables Maintain and organize legal files, deal folders, and closing documentation (physical and electronic) Assist with contract intake, tracking, and management Assist attorneys with responses to audits, due diligence requests, and information requests Assist with litigation support including document collection, organization, and production Track subpoenas, claims, notices, and deadlines Coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, and internal departments as needed Maintain logs for disputes, claims, and legal matters Manage calendars, deadlines, and reminders for the legal team Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports as directed Support process improvement initiatives within the legal functionQualifications:
Paralegal certificate or equivalent relevant experience 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (real estate experience strongly preferred) Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfort learning internal systems Familiarity with real estate, construction, property management, or corporate law Experience managing closing checklists and deal documentation Notary Public (or willingness to obtain) Highly organized and detail-oriented Proactive and solutions-focused Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines Comfortable working cross-functionally with non-legal teamsJob Type:
