Salary:

$50,000 - $75,000 (Commensurate with Experience)

Job Overview:

Our busy and fast-growing real estate law firm, located in the heart of Flushing, is seeking an experienced Residential Loan Closing Paralegal to join our team. This is a hands-on, high-volume role in a collegial environment that's supportive and collaborative. We value a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates with confidence and is eager to grow. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Open files for new loans; send introduction and instruction emails to borrowers and/or borrowers' counsel; input and maintain loan information in case management software Request title bills and title reports from title companies Conduct preliminary title reviews and provide notes and flags for supervising attorneys Prepare pre-CDs, CD updates, and HUDs Monitor expiration dates on rate locks, commitments, and conditions; proactively follow up on missing documents Coordinate with lenders, title companies, borrowers, and attorneys to schedule and facilitate closings Prepare closing packages; manage post-closing follow-up and file wrap-up Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in residential loan closing or banking paralegal work required Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF software Experience with REMMIS Software (Digital RE / Close IT+) or comparable legal case management software a plus Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be in regular contact with clients, lenders, title companies, and attorneys Self-starter with a proactive approach; able to work independently and escalate appropriately Able to think through complicated tasks utilizing strong problem solving skills Paralegal certificate or relevant college degree preferred
