In-person (not remote) - Western Suffolk or Nassau County locations Overview Skolnick & Ben-Ezra, PLLC is hiring a seasoned residential real estate paralegal with significant NYC experience to run point on transaction workflow for co-ops, condos, townhomes, and brownstones, including assisting with due diligence. This is an in-office position in Nassau or Western Suffolk—ideal for someone who wants sophisticated NYC work without a Manhattan commute. This is a senior role will focus on substantive diligence, file control, and moving deals to closing.
Ideal background:
4+ years of residential transactions with meaningful NYC exposure. Discretion and professionalism and most of all a pleasant and cooperative attitude are essential. Responsibilities (What you'll own) Manage files from intake through closing using clear checklists, timelines, and next-step control Initiate and manage due diligence for NYC co-ops/condos: know what to request, what matters, how to track, and—where possible—how to help resolve issues before they become deal problems Review and synthesize building materials, including financials, board minutes, questionnaires, house rules, litigation indicators, and other diligence records; escalate issues efficiently to the attorney with clear follow-up requests Support the contract of sale lifecycle: organize drafts, riders, exhibits; manage revision flow; coordinate execution and ensure the file stays consistently closing-ready Coordinate with brokers, lenders, title, managing agents, and opposing counsel to keep matters progressing smoothly and deadlines met Maintain disciplined file organization and accurate status reporting across multiple active files Requirements 4+ years residential real estate paralegal experience with meaningful NYC co-op/condo exposure Demonstrated ability to start due diligence intelligently and keep transactions on track Excellent client service and communication; consistently professional with all parties Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines and active matters In-office availability in Nassau or Western Suffolk (reliable commute) High integrity, discretion, and comfort handling confidential client matters Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Paid holidays
