Responsibilities Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Transactional Analyst to be based in our New York office. As a Transactional Analyst, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with lawyers who close multibillion-dollar deals and seasoned paraprofessionals who will teach you the mechanics of complex transactions from the ground up. You will develop a deep understanding of the deal process, from initial negotiations to closing, and build skills that are highly valued in both legal and business environments. This position will support the Real Estate practice group and will report to the Practice Group Chair for the practice group, with daily work performed primarily under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals.
Expected responsibilities will include:
Assist with preparation and/or proofing of basic transactional documents, including creating signature pages, updating footers, inserting dates and creating PDFs Facilitate coordination of entity and property due diligence Prepare synopsis of parties and description of funding for a real estate transaction Follow up on recorded documents and title policies with title companies, ACRIS and handle distribution of original documents to various custodians Prepare closing indexes and binders and ensure post-closing obligations are met Establish and maintain electronic client files utilizing firm document management system Review and analyze various legal agreements and contracts, including preparation of abstracts upon request Perform research on factual issues and assist in preparation of legal analysis Monitor and report on key industry developments Other duties as assigned You will receive hands-on mentorship, formal training and unrivaled exposure to the business of law at a global firm. Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York is $60,000to $70,000, based on experience.
