Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize contracts, leases, closing documents, financing documents, and other legal materials. Assist with real estate closings by coordinating checklists, signatures, due diligence, and post-closing documents. Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, municipalities, and other transaction stakeholders. Support real estate acquisitions, leasing, development, financing, construction, and related corporate matters. Help manage land use, zoning, environmental, and municipal approval processes. Organize and maintain client files, transaction records, and closing documents. Manage calendars, deadlines, meetings, travel arrangements, and administrative tasks. Process billing, expense reports, engagement letters, conflict checks, and matter administration. Prepare electronic closing binders and perform document management tasks. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent client service. Requirements 5+ years of legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar law firm experience, preferably in commercial real estate or transactional law. Paralegal certificate and/or bachelor's degree preferred. Experience supporting attorneys in a mid-sized or large law firm. Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, development, leasing, financing, and closings. Experience working with lenders, title companies, municipalities, consultants, and other third parties. Strong drafting, proofreading, organizational, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, document management systems, and legal workflow software. Familiarity with New York real estate practice preferred; Connecticut experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, discretion, and ability to work independently.
