Job Description

Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal Position Type:
Full-time /
Permanent Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00
PM In Office Location:
Cincinnati, OH Job Purpose A premier legal practice seeks a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, technical, and operational support to a dynamic litigation team at all stages of case development, investigation, and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities Correspondence & Calendar:
Manage incoming calls, emails, mail, expenses, and invoices. Maintain master calendars, calculate statutory deadlines, schedule depositions/hearings, and coordinate basic travel.
Court Filings & Discovery:
Draft routine motions and forms, gather evidence, prepare exhibits, verify citations, and file documents via cloud-based e-filing systems. Process public, medical, and financial records requests.
Depositions & Trial Prep:
Draft subpoenas, coordinate with court reporters and witnesses, organize trial/deposition binders, and manage necessary tech/equipment.
Research & Teamwork:
Conduct factual research via internet and virtual databases. Collaborate with colleagues, follow up on delegated tasks, and escalate substantive matters to attorneys or paralegals as needed.
Skills & Qualifications Technical Stack:
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom. Willingness to learn and use Clio (case management) and Westlaw (legal research).
Experience:
Prior law firm or legal department experience is preferred.
