Gather facts and documentation in support of petitions.
Review files for status and maintain/organize client matters and calendars.
Draft correspondence regarding procedural matters, status updates, and letters in support of petitions.
Interact with government agencies, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Perform legal research and analysis.
The expected pay scale for this position is $37.18- $40.25 per hour (overtime eligible per applicable laws) with an approximate annualized equivalent of $72,501.00$78,487.50 based on 37.50 hrs./week. Actual earnings may vary. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as your qualifications, relevant experience, education, work location, and market conditions.

Position Summary:
The Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is searching for an experienced immigration paralegal for a full-time role. The paralegal will work with a busy immigration practice, which focuses on business and employment-related cases, but also occasionally handles family-based immigration matters. The candidate must have excellent writing and research abilities, strong verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and good attention to detail. Draft, review, and file various petitions including H-1B, L-1, E-1/E-2, O-1, TN, J-1 and other nonimmigrant visa petitions, PERM applications, immigrant visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications.Gather facts and documentation in support of petitions.
Review files for status and maintain/organize client matters and calendars.
Draft correspondence regarding procedural matters, status updates, and letters in support of petitions.
Interact with government agencies, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Perform legal research and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of immigration procedures and processesStrong knowledge of MS OfficeWorking knowledge of INSZoom and/or Docketwise is a plusStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize work while remaining focused on deadlinesAbility to work both independently and on a team on multiple projects and mattersIn depth knowledge of legal terminology and principlesStrong proofreading skills and the ability to analyze legal documents for accuracySpanish, Japanese, or other foreign language skills are a plusEducation and Experience:
