Key Personnel is seeking a Legal Assistant for a law firm in the Tulsa, OK area.
Legal Assistant Pay:
$60,000•$70,000
Legal Assistant Hours:
Monday•Friday, 8am to 5pm
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams in a fast•paced law office environment Prepare correspondence, memoranda, legal documents, and other materials from written and oral drafts Draft standard correspondence and maintain accurate legal documentation Screen telephone calls, record messages, and communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff Read, sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail, including coordinating delivery services when needed Maintain organized filing systems for client and legal records, including opening and closing files Request and coordinate conflict of interest checks under attorney supervision Establish and maintain calendars, deadline reminders, appointments, and scheduling systems for attorneys and staff Enter billable time into timekeeping systems and assist with pre-bill processing as requested Receive and assist clients and visitors while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality Proofread and edit legal documents and correspondence for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting accuracy Transcribe legal documents, reports, and correspondence from rough drafts or dictation Coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining attention to detail Assist other administrative staff in backup support capacities as needed Maintain confidentiality of attorney-client communications and sensitive legal information Perform additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Legal Administrative Assistant Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience required Litigation and transactional legal experience required Strong understanding of legal office procedures, document preparation, and administrative support functions Ability to transcribe legal documents and correspondence at approximately 70 words per minute Exceptional proofreading, editing, grammar, spelling, and formatting skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients Strong problem-solving abilities and forward-thinking mindset Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment High attention to detail and accuracy required
Work Environment:
Professional office and legal environment Frequent interaction with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff High-volume workflow with occasional periods requiring increased mental focus and attention to detail Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and business needs
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use Frequent typing and repetitive hand movements Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written correspondence Ability to review and proofread detailed legal documentation accurately
