The ideal Candidate will be able to handle cases from inception to trial and will primarily support trial attorneys as well as conduct legal research and writing to support legal proceedings and have a least 3 years of litigation experience in one of these areas and at least 5 years of legal experience overall. The candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. Responsibilities Review and draft various legal documents and conduct legal research Create and maintain case files and be able to handle cases from inception to trial Maintain attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed E-file documents in state and federal courts as needed (PA and NJ is a plus) Assist and meet with clients and maintain valued relationships Facilitate organization strategies to meet attorney deadlines efficiently Participate in fact investigation and the negotiation of legal disputes Adhere to state and federal compliance regulations/laws while maintaining the proper storage and confidentiality of client information Qualifications Recent experience as a Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal and be knowledgeable in Asbestos Litigation, Toxic Tort, Catastrophic Injury and Wrongful Death matters Bachelor's degree, Paralegal certificate or commensurate Paralegal experience Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Case Management software including but not limited to Clio and Legal Research Search Engines Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Compensation This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $65,000 to $75,000.00 annually. Compensation based on experience.
