Job Description
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its active Restructuring practice. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy practice group, and work on sophisticated bankruptcy matters.
Hybrid schedule:
3 days in-office / 2 remote. Interested candidates with Chapter 11 or 7 Bankruptcy experience from a large law firm that want to be considered immediately should reach out to Kevin Ross with Robert Half in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
Draft, prepare, and file bankruptcy pleadings and related documents, including petitions, motions, disclosure statements, proofs of claim, and fee applications
Manage high-volume dockets for corporate Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters
E-file documents in federal bankruptcy courts and maintain compliance with filing requirements
Track case milestones, deadlines, and hearing schedules
Conduct legal and financial research using PACER, court dockets, and industry tools (Reorg, Debtwire, Capital IQ)
Prepare UCC filings, closing binders, and post-closing documentation
Support attorneys in hearings, depositions, and trial preparation
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience in bankruptcy and restructuring
Strong experience with Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 corporate restructurings
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with iManage and financial research tools is a plus
ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred but not required
